An incredible washed Yellow Geisha from the renowned Jardines del Eden farm in Quindío, Colombia. This farm is owned and run by our friends at Cofinet, brothers Felipe and Carlos Arcila, who have turned Jardines del Eden into one of the most exciting and innovative farms in the region. Here they trial new varietals, explore fermentation techniques, and cultivate coffee using a biodynamic approach that prioritises soil health, shade diversity and long-term ecological balance. The result is a landscape that feels alive, with an ongoing commitment to growing exceptional coffee without relying on synthetic fertilisers or the pressures of monoculture.

The Yellow Geisha varietal is known for its deliciously sweet stonefruit flavours and delicate florality. It carries a long history and a serious reputation, becoming one of the most sought-after varietals in the world after Hacienda La Esmeralda used it to win the 2005 Best of Panama competition. In the right growing environment it shows remarkable clarity, sweetness and structure, and Jardines del Eden provides exactly that kind of environment.

The handling of this coffee at the farm is a show of pure class. While Jardines del Eden has become well known for its experimental and boundary-pushing processing, this particular lot showcases the beauty of restraint. It is a clean, precise example of the washed profile, letting the purity of the varietal shine. In the cup we’re tasting floral highlights of orange blossom, a vibrant red apple acidity and a juicy, ripe peach sweetness that lingers beautifully.
