Gara Agena, Sidama - Ethiopia, Washed

Our second run of Ethiopia releases this season comprises a cracking lineup of anaerobic naturals and a few classy washed lots. For those of you who were all over last year's Sidama and Aricha, the natural lots are what you have been waiting for. Intensely perfumed, complex fruits, with a sweet vibrant mouthfeel. The washed lots reflect the high quality clean florality we expect from an exceptional origin like Ethiopia. Delicate, tealike goodness. 

Another cracking special prep lot, this time from Gara Agena in Sidama. Like all special prep Ethiopians this coffee was picked and sorted under strict standards. This means a low incidence rate of defects that lends to a very consistent high quality experience. This Grade 1 washed lot has a sweet custard apple back bone and a zippy citrus acidity. We are tasting finger lime, grapefruit and nectarine in the cupping bowl. The is a quintessential Ethiopian in its presentation of high quality vibrant acidity and a clean tea-like body.
