Chelbessa, Yirgacheffe - Ethiopia, Natural

Our second run of Ethiopia releases this season comprises a cracking lineup of anaerobic naturals and a few classy washed lots. For those of you who were all over last year's Sidama and Aricha, the natural lots are what you have been waiting for. Intensely perfumed, complex fruits, with a sweet vibrant mouthfeel. The washed lots reflect the high quality clean florality we expect from an exceptional origin like Ethiopia. Delicate, tealike goodness.

Another excellent natural Ethiopian from the Chelbessa processing station in Yirgacheffe. This is a grade 1 lot which pulls from dozens of smallholder farmers in the region. We find this coffee distinctive for its particularly jammy texture. Tasting notes of strawberry and apricot make for a pleasant drinking experience as both a filter and espresso.
